Inca Trail 1 Day

Overview:

The one day Inca trail is the same hike as the 2-day Inca Trail but without the additional night in Aguas Calientes. This full-day is a unique opportunity for people who are on a schedule but who do not want to miss out this amazing and stunning hike. You walk part of the Classic 4 day Inca Trail and see Wayna Picchu, Inti Punku and Machu Picchu, all on one day!

Itinerary

(this is a sample itinerary, there are small differences between the diferent trek operators in Cusco)

Day 1

You will be picked up from your hostel early for the train to Machu Picchu. Enjoy the beautiful scenery along the way! We will get off at Km. 104 and begin the 2 day Inca Trail between 8 am, and 9 am.

First, we will pass the ruins of Chachabamba (2250 m. A couple of hours later we will get to the archaeological site of Wiña Wayna (2650 m). After a visit, we continue until we reach Inti Punku (Sun Gate –2650m asl) and after that we will enter the magical city of Machu Pichu around 14.30.

After a guided tour, you’ll have the opportunity to see what will probably the most beautiful sunsets of your life - when Machu Picchu is almost empty. Around 17,15 we will take the bus down to catch the train back to Cusco.
